PADI Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. One of our highly trained Instructors will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.
By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
Step 1: eLearning
PADI eLearning is the first step in your open water certification. At your own pace you will go through the modules and complete the online portion of your certification. In addition to eLearning, there will be zoom classroom sessions with your instructor to ensure that you understand the material being covered.
Step 2: Pool Dives
Time to blow bubbles! In the pool you will be working with your instructor and other students on the fundamentals of scuba diving. A minimum of 5 pool sessions completed are required to move onto your open water checkout dives.
Step 3: Checkout Dives
Now that you have completed all of your pool sessions, you can move onto your 4 checkout dives. This is where your instructor will dive with you in a deeper, less controlled environment, and ensure that you are comfortable with all of the essential skills of a competent scuba diver.
